Who is Eligible for the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship?
be eligible to pay the overseas fee rate;
come from a low-income background*;
AND have submitted an admission application for a full-time Undergraduate degree at UCL in 2023/24.
To qualify for the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must be an international student and have received an unconditional offer of admission to study a full-time undergraduate program at UCL. Additionally, they must not hold an existing scholarship from another college or university, and must demonstrate financial need. Other eligibility requirements may apply based on individual country criteria.
What is Included in the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship Program?
The UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship program offers up to 100% tuition fee reduction for successful international students. In addition to this discount, awardees also receive a stipend of towards living expenses, as well as support from the UCL Scholarships and bursaries team throughout their studies.

How to Apply for the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship?
The UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship requires applicants to complete an online application form, complete a personal statement and submit two references. Eligible applicants must demonstrate excellent academic performance and financial need. Students also need to show airport transfer documentation as evidence of their visa status. In addition, UCL Immigration may also request further documentation such as language proficiency certificates in certain cases.
What Factors Determine Acceptance into the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship Program?
UCL looks at a number of factors and criteria when evaluating applications for the Global Undergraduate Scholarship. These include academic performance, financial need, airport transfer documentation, language proficiency and an overall understanding of the student's individual circumstances. UCL takes into account all factors to ensure they are able to select the best candidates and provide them with the opportunity to support their studies at UCL.
What Additional Opportunities are Available Through the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship Program?
On top of the scholarship opportunity, UCL offers participants of their Global Undergraduate program access to a variety of course-related opportunities. These include conditional offers to study abroad, possibilities for teaching and research assistants, and membership in UCL's Global Citizen Programme. Additionally, students who receive a full award package may also receive additional funding to take part in field trips or internships related to their studies at UCL.
Benefits for Scholarship Holders
There are up to 30 scholarships available in 2023/24.
10 awards of full tuition fees & maintenance allowance; 20 awards of full tuition fees.
The scholarship is tenable for the normal duration of the programme.
Scholarship recipients are obliged to inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately of any other funding they are awarded towards their UCL Undergraduate degree studies, before or subsequent to the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship being awarded.
