These scholarships cover 50% or 100% of full-time tuition fees, awarded to innovative and passionate students who can show their potential for developing solutions that have an impact on their home countries.

Minimum English Language Requirement for the University of Nottingham Admission
IELTS (Academic) 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each element)
Pearson Test of English (PTE) 71 (with a minimum of 65 in each element)
TOEFL (iBT) 87 (with a minimum of 20 in speaking and 19 in all other elements)

Alternative qualifications for getting admission
The University recognise that applicants have a variety of experiences and follow different pathways to postgraduate study.
The University treat all applicants with alternative qualifications on an individual basis. they may also consider relevant work experience.

English language requirements: As well as IELTS (listed above), we also accept other English language qualifications. This includes TOEFL iBT, Pearson PTE, GCSE, IB and O-level English.
Meeting University English language requirements
If you need support to meet the required level, you may be able to attend a presessional English course. Presessional courses teach you academic skills in addition to the English language. University Centre for English Language Education is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK.
If you successfully complete your presessional course to the required level, you can then progress to your degree course. This means that you won't need to retake IELTS or equivalent.

Working during studies in the UK
Students studying full-time degree-level courses in the UK who hold a Student visa are allowed to work for up to 20 hours per week during university term time, as well as being able to work full-time during vacation periods. Additionally, those undertaking a work placement which forms an integral and assessed part of the course may do so full-time and the duration cannot exceed 50% of the overall course period unless prohibited by law. Moreover, Student visa holders can temporarily be employed as a student union sabbatical officer for up to two years. Lastly, those on part–time courses do not have any right to take up employment.
