Czech Government Scholarship Program

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MEYS) annually offers scholarships to foreign nationals within the framework of intergovernmental exchange programs arranged with the following countries:

Scholarships can only be granted to candidates officially recommended for the award by the appropriate authorities in the eligible countries, mentioned in the files above, which collect the applications, set the closing date for applications, and organize the selection procedure.

1. Age limit – 18+
2. No IELTS Required

Scholarship Scheme

1.       Applicant must appoint to Slavic summer school for learning the Slavic language

2.       You reached  Slavic language  proficiency you will be eligible for a Degree program scholarship

Benefits of a Language course

• Meal  (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and lodging;
• Registration and tuition fees
• Trips and excursions organized within the framework of the course curriculum;
• Some Summer Schools provide also a public transport pass

The scholarship does not include

• expenses for international transport;
• insurance costs;
• visa processing costs.

Benefits During the Degree program

• Full Tuition fee 
• For Bachelor Students will pay 9000 CZK ( 400 USD ) per monthly 
• For Masters and above will pay 9500 CZK ( 425 USD ) per monthly 

All applicants are required to submit also the following attachments in duplicate unless the respective bilateral exchange program stipulates otherwise:  

A.  Students – study /research stays up to 30 days

academic curriculum vitae;

list of publications (if applicable);

a detailed plan of study/research;

passport / ID copy (not required of citizens of EU/EEA countries).

B. Students – study /research stays exceeding 30 days

academic curriculum vitae;

list of publications (if applicable);

a detailed plan of study/research;

two letters of recommendation from academic supervisors or an employer;

photocopy of diploma (if applicable);

certified transcript(s) of records;

passport / ID copy (not required of citizens of EU/EEA countries).

C. Academic staff members

academic curriculum vitae;

list of publications;

a detailed plan of study/research;

letter of invitation issued by a department/institute of a public institution of higher education in the Czech Republic;

passport / ID copy (not required of citizens of EU/EEA countries).

All documents must be written in or translated into Czech or English.

Fine arts and performing arts students/graduates are moreover required to attach a sample of their artistic work, e.g. photographs, video/audio recording of a musical performance, etc.

Incomplete application dossiers and/or inadequately completed application forms will not be processed.
